I find it easier to just update our life on Facebook. A lot has happened since my last post. We had our 2nd baby girl on September 15, 2011 at 9:33 p.m. Her name is Makenzie Ellen (Ellen after her grandma Mary Ellen-Randy's mom) she weighed 7 lbs, 8 oz, 20 in long. She looks a lot like her big sister Kimber so in reality that is mostly looking like Randy since Kimber is a mini Randy. She is now 3 months and weighs almost 14 lbs, she's the sweetest, chubbiest little girl in the world! We are in LOVE with her. She is already sleeping through night and that is the best gift she could give her momma!

I wanted to write her birth story down since it was so different from Kimber's and also so I could always remember it. How could I ever forget giving labor though right?? :) Beware: this will be lengthy. I want it more for my documentation.

My pregnancy with Makenzie wasn't the easiest to begin with. Kimber's was a perfect pregnancy in every way almost (if there is a prefect pregnancy)! It started out fine but at 10 weeks I started bleeding. I immediately thought I was going to miscarry so I laid down, drank some water, and waited for the cramps to start....they never did. I stopped bleeding for about 2 days, so I thought it was just implantation bleeding since I spotted with Kimber around that same time. Well, Valentine's day night around 8 p.m. I started bleeding again but also passing small clots so I was positive I was miscarrying this time, so off to the ER Randy and I went to spend a very romantic Valentine's night in the hospital waiting to hear we lost our baby. :( Turns out they did an ultrasound and lo and behold I saw a very alive, bouncy baby, and I was so relieved! What I had was a blood clot in between my uterus and placenta (subchorronic hemmorage) that just had to work its way out. Thankfully, it did, and I never did miscarry. Luckily, I also had friends that went through the same thing so they helped calm my nerves. The stresses didn't stop there. I had pre-term labor at 20 weeks which I had to go on modified bed rest until contractions stopped, (which basically means making your load light and resting as much as possible without being bedridden) that lasted a few weeks. I had about 3 vaginal infections right after each other that all required antibiotics, her amniotic fluids were low half the pregnancy so I had to get numerous ultrasounds (which was fine for me) and drown myself with water to get the levels back up...they did get up. :) Then the heat of the summer came around so I was a HOT beached whale and had no energy to lift a finger let alone Kimber, so I was miserable. Then at 34 weeks I had the worst pain known to man and thought I was in Labor, at 3 am I drove myself to the hospital (because Randy stayed home with a sleeping Kimber) I got checked in triage everything was fine there so I was sent to the ER- to only discover I had a gallbladder full of stones and what I was experiencing was a gallbladder attack. Awful pain I tell ya! Next thing I knew, I was admitted to the hospital for a 2 day stay to be monitored for pain and baby watch. They didn't want to do surgery on me because I was pregnant and it could cause harm to the baby or put me in pre-term labor. At that time, I was given a beautiful Priesthood blessing by Randy and my dad that I would be able to carry Makenzie full term and that my gallbladder would calm enough to do so. Well, IT DID!! I hardly had any pain for the remainder of my pregnancy and I even had some kind of energy pulled from my toes to make it through. :) I am so thankful for prayer, fasting and priesthood blessings during my pregnancy-it truly sustained me. Makenzie never once had problems with her and she was always so active and reasured me see was there in my tummy. I needed that. I had lots to be grateful for even in the stress of it all.

Both Kimber and Makenzie I have carried past my due date. Apparently, my babies like to stay until they get kicked out. I was induced with Kimber at 41 weeks and headed the same direction with Makenzie. I stay at 2 cm and 50% effaced FOREVER!!! I was past 40 weeks pregnant with Makenzie so my doctor scheduled for me to be induced September 14th at 3am. Not the most prefect time in the world but I was actually excited because Kimber would be sleeping so I knew she'd be ok in bed ( I was so nervous to leave my baby), and I had most of contractions at night so I thought I would just shoot Makenzie out. I deliver at Banner Gateway and it is one of the busiest hospitals for maternity so I should've known I wouldn't get in at that time anyway. It's annoying because you just have to keep calling to see if there is a bed available, that can be the pits when you are past your due date and so sick of being pregnant you want to shoot someone! haha. :)

There was no room in the inn for a LONG time. I just kept getting pushed back for hours and there were numerous people ahead of me so I was looking to deliver in 2012 at that rate. The hospital was so full they were putting people in the halls to labor....uh, no thanks, i'll stay home. :) I guess September is a busy month for deliveries because it's all Christmas/New Years conception babies....haha. Everyone wants to stay warm around the Holidays! Gross! :)

Well, the night of the 14th when I should've been delivered and holding my baby in my arms I started having contractions on my own. Could it be true? I thought. I always had contractions at night so I didn't think much of it. They were about 12 mins apart but coming on pretty intense. I was able to catch winks of sleep inbetween but I didn't get the best rest that night. My friend Amber was staying with us because she was going to watch Kimber. Bless her heart she was a trooper and camped out with us for a couple days as we were in the "waiting game". The morning of the 15th I was still having contractions but they slowed down so I was just expecting to wait for a bed for eternity. I just told myself to stay calm and patient and Makenzie would be here sooner or later. I took a bath, got ready for the day and we went walking around the San Tan mall with my sister in law for a couple hours. My contractions stayed the same but once I got home they started picking up and were 7 mins apart. I took a nap for about an hour and woke up to contractions. I should've gone to the hospital at that point but I was so scared of being sent away for a false alarm. Amber had class that night so my mom was going to watch Kimber for us so I could go get checked in triage. My mom was on her way over when I decided I should finally bite the bullet and go to the hospital. Right then, Amber called me to tell me she felt she shouldn't go to class so she'd come back over to the house to watch Kimber. (which turned out to be a blessing because my mom would have missed my labor) I then called my mom and told her to meet us at the hospital instead. We left and my contractions were 5-6 mins apart lasting about a min. I was STILL in denial I wasn't in labor though...geez, what was I waiting for? A slap in the head or my baby to actually fall out to convince me I was in labor? :) For real! Next time i'll know.
We arrived and I HATE the whole checking into the hospital thing. I really wish you could skip all that crap. I probably dilated 3 cms just filling out dumb paperwork. Next time I'll know better for that too! I finally got into triage and got checked and I was a 6!! I was floored and never thought I could do that on my own! Go Me!!! :) The nurse asked if I wanted an epidural. uh, duh, HELL yeah I want an epidural (sorry) :) That was a silly question. It seemed like an eternity for her to call my doctor to tell him I was in labor (which he was extremely proud of me going in on my own and not having to wait years to be induced) and to actually wheel me into the labor room. From that point, I literally went from being in moderate pain to intense pain and this is where the fun begins!

Dude, I swear an animal came out in me....I was part of a wild wolf pack and I was the leader about to attack. I don't know what was coming over me. I was crying, failing my arms in the air, moving around, yelling "I can't do this" and wanting to KILL Randy. I had a sworm of nurses around me and I felt like more were coming in from the halls to help. Boy howdy! They kept telling me to relax and breathe! Yeah, since that is possible. I wanted to punch them. :) The nurse told me I needed to wait until I emptied a full bag of IV fluid before I could get an epidural and I about lost it! "you're kidding right"? LUCKILY, my nurse must have been scared for her life or something because she eventually just said ok, let's give you the epidural. Bless her soul!

I honestly, had 2.2 seconds to sit still and get my epidural. It was hard but I got it, and I finally felt some relief. After I calmed down I was then able to re-cap on what had just happened and I was so embarrased for myself. Gee Whiz, I was out of the movies and I just apologized over and over. Randy said I wasn't that bad but what does he know. He's just the jerk that got me pregnant and the guy I didn't want touching me. haha. I was mean to him too so he had to say that because he was scared for his life too. :) Jk. he did great! After checking into the hospital at 7 pm Makenzie popped out at 9:33pm so I labored at the hospital for just over 2 hours. I was so happy to get her out and SO thankful I got drugs. When you are not expecting that pain and it comes like a freight train it is pretty intense, scary stuff. I was so grateful it was fast and I was able to experience going on my own. It was a fantastic (animal like) labor. Glad it's over and we have a PERFECT little Makenzie (and Kimber). They are just over 17 months apart and I am so excited for them to grow up together. They will be best buds. Kimber has done great with her too and it has been way easier than I expected. I have two great girls!

LONG story short with my gallbladder...it's out now and I am doing much better! That was one of the scariest, painful things I have ever experienced.(maybe close to or even worse than my animal like labor) It's been a harder time for me this time after a baby with my gallbladder issues and postpartum depression that I have gone through some very emotional times and extreme anxiety that has been scary. I am getting better every day and healing so I have much to be grateful for. Heavenly Father truly looks over us and knows when we need an extra hand and support. My friends and family have been wonderful! I am blessed. Since, this is the longest post ever I will do pictures later. I have newborn shots I need to upload anyway. She's cute though....just trust me! :)

It's a girl!

We had our ultrasound today and found out we are having another girl. We are so excited for Kimber to have a sister close to her age. They will be 17 months apart. I am sure it will be pretty busy around our house but I am sure we can handle it. She is due September 12th-our anniversary. I am expecting to go late with her since I had to be induced with Kimber at a week late, but we will see what this girl will surprise us with. I am excited because I have all the stuff for a girl already and I am so thrilled Kimber will have a sister close in age. My only sister and I are about 13 yrs apart so this will be fun to see two girls be raised together. We are so happy to be adding to our little family! We are growing! :)

Kimber's 8 month photo shoot

Oh my, I can honestly squeeze these chunks all day. They will be best of friends someday! Zoe-Faye is Helen's daugther (the photographer). They are already learning to share. :)

So pretty.......I love when I can see her little mind at work.

Kimber had a photo shoot done by her Aunt Helen when she was 8 months old. Helen is an amazing photographer, and she has a few fine art photography collections. We are so lucky to have her talent in the family! She took so many great shots. I wanted to download so many more but it was taking too long! Thank you so much Helen!

Kimber is now 9 months old, I don't know where the time has gone. I love this little girl more each day. She is SO much fun. She crawls, laughs, sings, smiles, stands up, gives high fives, jabbers all day, and is into EVERYTHING! She has mastered saying "daddy", but still working on "mommy". I think Randy bribes her with candy. haha. I couldn't imagine my life without her. I am so thankful to be her mom. We love our little Kimber Roo.

2 years...

Is it really possible that Randy and I have been married for two years now? I am so far behind. I have a lot to catch up on. Today, I am posting Kimber's nursery. These were taken awhile ago and I have totally spaced taking new ones because I just noticed that all the frames in these pictures don't have her pictures in them...they do now so I guess its time to bust out the camera and take some updated photos of the nursery. So, just imagine pics of Kimber in the frames. :)

My friend Molly did the vinyl for us (thank you Moll) and Randy did all the painting and chair rail by himself. He did an amazing job. Its a really cute room, small but cute. It's perfect for our little princess. :)

Blessing day

My computer is acting funny so I will have to post later before I lose this one...... These pictures are of her on her blessing day.

She fell asleep on the way home from Church so when she woke up she was so hungry we didn't get a lot of good pictures of her. I'll have to put her back in her dress and take some of her happy and smiling.

Her Blessing day, we had a lot of family come and support us-Thank you fam! Her dress was so beautiful on her, she looked like the sweet little angel (except the crying picture of her). Randy gave her the sweetest blessing too! Thank you to Holli for making all her cute headbands. Kimber looks so adorable in all of them!

Our happy girl. This is one of my favorite outfits of hers. I love her smiles, they are so funny. She looks so much like Randy it is not even funny!

Kimber is growing up so fast she is almost 3 months-how come the time is going by so fast now, but when I was pregnant it went by so slowly? I can't imagine my life without her. She is such a great baby, she's almost sleeping through the night waking up once or twice- I don't care though, she's worth it. She eats well and she smiles ALL the time. I can't wait for her to start laughing, I think she will soon because she definately has found her voice. She loves bath time and loves her mommy and daddy. Its so sweet for me to see her with her daddy. Randy is an awesome dad!

Kimber 1 month

I can't believe my little girl is already growing so fast. I know a month doesn't seem like that long, but really the time sure does fly by. I love this little girl so much. I cannot believe how attached I have become to her. She really makes me smile and melts my heart. I feel like I have already known her for years and I can't imagine life without her.
She has already gained over 3lbs and grown an inch so to me she looks bigger everyday. She is still so little though. She is a happy baby as you can see from the picture. She loves to eat! We are having chats about being patient and not being so high maintenance when it comes to meal time. :)
She is having some reflux issues still so she sleeps propt up in her bassinet and I have to burp her like crazy and keep her upright after she eats for awhile. Her spit up has gotten less since I have been doing this. It makes me sad to see her hurt when her tummy is gassy and hurting. :(
She truly is a sweetheart! We love her!

Kimber Elizabeth Robson

Kimber was born April 7, 2010 at 1:05am. She weighed 6lbs, 11oz, 19 inches long. I was induced on the April 6th and after 15 hours of labor she finally arrived.

My labor was actually quite fabulous, I was a little nervous to be induced because everyone said that the pitocin makes your contractions stronger, and since I have never experienced labor before it kinda scared me. I didn't think it was that bad at all. I waited to get my epidural until I was about 5cm and after I had the drugs I was in heaven! Bless you epidural! I dialated from a 5 to a 8 in about an hour and then to a 10 and hour later. My lovely nurse let me sleep an hour before I started pushing which was nice...bless his heart too. Yes, HIS heart, I was so embarrased to have a male nurse when he first walked in, but he was my favorite nurse I had that day and he helped so much. I was hoping to have her before midnight so she could share a birthday with the Savior and the Church but she wasn't quite ready to come before midnight. :)

Kimber is a great baby. She eats like a pig, she sleeps almost all night and is awake most of the day with some naps here and there. I really don't think I know of a newborn who is awake as much as her, luckily she just chills though. She does have a fussy time of day. It hits at 7pm on the dot and lasts for about 2 hours. Her tummy hurts during that time. I have her on gripe water and that seems to help.

She has a fun personality and smiles a lot in her sleep. I like to watch her. I think she looks like Randy, but sometimes I think she does faces that look like me. She is beautiful! We love our baby girl and we are so happy she is here!

Baby Bump at 8 months!

FINALLY I know! (no laughing, or pointing fingers)! haha. I can't believe this has taken me over 3 months to do this. I am so sorry. Now, I am over 8 months along!!

I am feeling very good. I have loved being pregnant! Of course, I have had my complaints of aches and pains but for the most part, I could do this over and over again (if I feel this good every time). And I have only gained 12 lbs! Actually, 12 lbs from my doctors scale and 8 lbs from mine- I'll go with my scale. :) I think I owe all that to my morning walks. I have been having some Braxton Hicks lately that are making my body sore, especially my back. Oh please oh please don't let me have back labor! Ouch! I am now starting to go to the Doctor every week for those lovely exams every mother just loves! :)

Randy and I completed 4 birthing classes and a breast feeding class. I am so glad we did both of them. Now, we will be champs right? ha! :) I have to say that I am honestly more nervous to breast feed than give birth. Please send me some positive vibes for breast feeding. I am sure it will be fine. I don't know why I am so nervous about it.

I survived two baby showers and thank everyone SO much who came and helped us out and gave us SO much cute stuff! Our nursery is almost done, just doing the finishing touches. Yay, we are excited! We can't wait to see this little girl we already LOVE so much! We haven't decided on a name yet. We have our list of 5, but will name her after we see her.

ONE MORE MONTH!

My top 5 reasons I enjoy being pregnant.....

1. I love feeling her kick, love it, love it, love it. It is such a reasuring feeling to feel that. It's our "little secret" and I can just picture those tiny limbs of hers kicking me. LOVE IT!

2. My sweet husband is so kind to me and pampers me with foot rubs, back rubs and tickles almost nightly! And, he hardly ever complains and does it for a LONG time. It is so nice to have him do that and feel relaxed. Thank you Randy-you really are the best!

3. I am finally showing enough to have people ask when I am due and not just think I "eat everything" and getting big for nothing! (with this being said, baby bump pics to come soon, I promise) I just need Randy to take some of me.

4. This is the only time in my entire life, let me repeat, "my entire life" a doctor has told me to "pig out" over the holiday season because I have only put on 2 lbs. I seriously don't know how I am doing it, too me I seriously feel like I eat tons and I look perfectly plump! I think its because I started way heavier than I wanted too so I am just growing because of the baby. If I ever decided to do the HCG diet I guess it would work for me. Thank you pregnancy hormones..... I feel the weight packing on soon though. :)

5. I can take a nap everyday if I want and I almost do everyday. Boy, do I love those afternoon naps!

I look forward to just over 3 months when I can hold our sweet little princess. I daydream about her all day. What will she look like? What will her sense of humor be like? etc. It makes all the uncomfortable sleepless nights, throwing up, trips to pee, clothes getting snug, restless legs, backaches and "cankles" worth it. (by the way I love that word "cankles", its so funny) They are not attractive though! I love this little girl already!

Drum roll..........

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!! Haha, I think it is so funny because this whole time I have been almost positive it was a boy. We were a bit shocked to hear it will be a girl, but super excited of course. Now, what to name her? I had my boy name. I am excited to shop for a girl though!
I was at Target yesterday and there's a whole bunch of cute stuff for girls compared to boy stuff. Yay for girls!
I am excited for Randy to have a girl, I think he's been in shock because he really hoped for a boy, he'll LOVE his little girl though. We are so excited! This whole time I have been thinking, "feeling" it will be a boy. Randy hopes for a boy too, although I think a girl would melt his heart. I guess we'll find out the real truth soon. Yay! Any guesses on what we are having?
I am starting to feel way better now, I haven't thrown up since my first trimester, and my happiest update is I have only gained 1 pound so far. Yes, I do understand I have 20 more weeks to go though. :) The nurse was pretty proud of me. Well, we'll let you know when we know.

Latest happenings in our world...

I am so mad at myself that I never carry a camera around with me! Why can't I be like my friend Holli who can't go a minute without snapping a shot of something (it would bug me in high school), but that talent needs to be passed down to me now. :) I have never liked to be in pictures so maybe that's why I don't carry one around with me. I'll do better about that so these posts aren't so boring. Here's the lastest with us...

Everyone join together and sing, "Hallelujah with me" we got released from nursery yesterday! Oh my gosh, I wanted to cry when we walked out of the Church building. :) It was a fun calling, I was just more than ready to be done. Maybe we'll get Sunbeams next? We're movin on up.

Have you ever wanted to meet a "celebrity"? A few days ago my sister in law, Chelsea was able to open for Chuck Wicks (Country Singer) at the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center. Chelsea is doing a great job at getting herself out in public to get her music out there. She was invited to open for him and all I have to say is.....she rocked it! I was/am so proud of her! She even got a standing ovation on her last song that she wrote. It was super cool. Super proud of you Chels! Well, I guess you could say being related to someone who has the "hook ups" has it bonuses. The key is after the performance you tag along with that certain person, and things like hanging out on the tour bus and eating pizza with the star happens. I have never had that opportunity before. I don't know if any of you know Chuck Wicks, but he's becoming big with his music, he has a few single hits on the radio, he toured with Brad Paisley last year and he was on Dancing with the Stars with his girlfriend Julianne Hough this past season. Yeah, he's a cutie! It was neat to meet him, but I have to say, being on a tour bus like that was my highlight. Seriously! It was funny because I kept looking around while everyone was talking and he kept asking me if I was bored. Kinda random, but no Chuck I am actually enjoying your bus! :) We were able to chat for awhile and then we went to a VIP Chic-fil-a party with him and his band. They were all really nice. Do I have pictures to show proof? No, I don't, so this story could just be made up. Haha. Thanks to Chelsea we will be able to get our niche in Hollywood. (Chelsea has pictues to prove this)

Last but not least. I have told some of you, but some don't know. Randy and I are expecting! I am due April 2nd. I had my first ultrasound about 3 weeks ago. I have to say it was one of the best experiences in my life to actually see the baby move and see that there was actually a baby inside me. I was touched. I will find out what the gender is in about 4 weeks. I have been really sick, I don't think I have ever thrown up so much in my life! I could tell you some stories, but I will hold off on those. :) I never knew "morning sickness" lasted all day and night! Why the heck do they call it "morning sickness"? Who came up with that phrase? A man I know it! :) Now that I am passed my first trimester I am starting to feel better. We are super excited. Thanks to all for your well wishes.

Random facts.....

Holy Moly! I have not posted in months. I haven't been able to think of anything to post in awhile, but I got this idea from my good buddy, Karen's blog. I thought it would be fun for you to get to know us a little better.

We have been in nursery for about a year now and they originally told us, "6 months", I am starting to get very irritated with our little punks! I want out.....I will never asked to be released though. I'll make Randy do it.

I haven't had a full time job in almost a year....I wouldn't even know what to do with myself if I had to work for someone right now. Thanks Randy for providing for our family!

I am learning how to be a great cook. I LOVE to try new recipes and I LOVE to bake! I am even thinking of starting a baking class for little kids. One of the sisters I visit teach son goes to a class and they love it......hummm, do you think that's a good idea?

Randy wants to go shooting all the time...anyone want to go with him, so I don't have too? :)

I would love to go hiking every weekend, but don't have a partner to go with. Sad face.

I want to start making crystal jewelry...I am just waiting for the place to start teaching classes again. I will let you know when I start.

I really want to get our house painted, but I am too lazy to do it....I don't like to paint! I will be happy if someone would love to do that for me. :)

I turn 28 tomorrow and I feel like I am still 18 (maturity wise).

Randy and I will be married a year in about 3 weeks. Wow, I can't believe how time flies.

Well, that is good for now....Hope you enjoyed!

The winds have brought us together.....

Cheesy title I know but, there is a point to it though... A year ago Randy proposed to me and he did it by taking me on a hot air balloon ride. It had always been a dream of mine to do that. I think I told everyone and their dog that I wanted to go on one. I figured that if the boy I was to marry listened well enough to my hints, that would be the way he would ask me to marry him. Good job honey, you listened and got my hints! :) No, I would have been fine with whatever he did. He did so well with the plans and those who know Randy, know that planning a special event is not always easy for him. I think he does great and should do it more often. *hint, hint* He's just humble. Anyway, back to the title of this post. After our ride they gave us a certificate that was super corny and it said, "The winds have brought us together". We laughed about it and still do laugh. I still have that certificate. It will always remind of that special day and how "the winds brought us together" :) Thanks honey for asking me to marry you. You're the best!
I think that pictures will actually be on this post today. Probably wrong order, but hey if they are there, I am happy.

Randy is so funny, he said he thought of all these nice things to say the night before like, "you are the best thing that's ever happened to me, you're beautiful, talented, humble, amazing, hottest thing I have ever seen, funniest person I know, my dream, my life, my one and only etc:" (ok, so I got a little carried away-I'm sure he thought of those though) Anyway, he was so nervous that he just got down on a knee and said, "I love you babe, will you marry me"? and said it really fast! I don't think any bride has ever heard that before. :) I loved it though. Good job babe!

There's some truth to that Happy Anniversary sign now.

We were so high...................It was awesome, but a little scary.

Before take off....."the winds have brought us together"......So corny!

5 years ago this month....

I can't believe it has been five years since I have been home from my mission in Seattle. I have a hard time accepting that at times. I feel like I honestly just stepped off the plane at times because those memories I have are so fresh in my mind as if they just happened yesterday. I am so glad that I served a mission. There's really not a day that goes by that I don't reflect on those experiences I had there. I think about those amazing people I met and taught every day and how they changed my life for the better. It really was a privledge for me to serve a mission. I attached some photos to this post, I just hope they go in the right spot. I am still trying to figure this out.

So, lately as I have been driving I seem to be attracting alot of Birds to my car. I have yet to hit one but the funny thing is I am getting sick of dodging them. Now, let me get this straight...not dodging them with my car, but ME dodging them inside my car. I guess you can say I have cat like reflexes! Ha ha. This happened to me yesterday when I was driving on the freeway and I just laughed right out loud! Seriously though, I dodge everything from birds to feathers. Why? Its pretty comical if you are in the car with me. Let me know if anyone of you want to see it-It would be quite the show. I am so sick of how the world is these days and how much stuff is out there trying to break up families. It worries me when I have kids too of all the garbage they'll hear and see from school and media. Hearing the story today inspired me to really reflect on what I am grateful for in my life and how I know I can do better so I am going to do just that. Do better and be better! I will steal a phrase from my father-in-law used with his kids...Be good and Stop it! Its just as simple as that. I am so thankful for the gospel in my life and for the opportunities it allows me to be close to my Savior, family and friends. I would be lost without the gospel. I just wanted to take a moment to tell you all how much I love you and am thankful for such great influences in my life.
Don't worry all my posts won't be mushy like this.
